The Elephant Gun is a reward for buying twenty items during the Black Friday event. Each individual item cost ranges from 5 GP to 18 GP, meaning between 100 and 360 GP total would have to be spent to acquire the Elephant Gun.
Compare the value:
- Elephant Gun weapon 43 attack 17 defense; cost 100-360 GP
- Jaguar weapon 45 attack 25 defense; cost 18 GP

You can buy 20 boosts for 18 RP and - theoretically - it's enough to get the reward. And if you thinking about its value there is a rarity value - for a collector - because you cant buy it in other ways (now and I hope never). --Cinty 23:10, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Getting the reward requires 20 purchases. "Each individual item cost ranges from 5 GP to 18 GP, meaning between 100 and 360 GP total would have to be spent to acquire the Elephant Gun" is a statement of fact, not opinion. With boosts, you buy ten boosts with a single purchase, so getting the Elephant Gun by buying boosts would take between 8*20 (160) or 9*20 (180) GP, which falls within the range already given for items. This isn't an opinion, it's math, same as the "best" items on this wiki are identified by mathematical value or the "best" jobs for energy or experience. It would be interesting to know if buying 20 boosts in a single purchase using the drop-down menu would be counted as one purchase or two, but if it was two, then the cost would be the same as I previously indicated. If it was one, then a purchase of 50 boosts in a single purchase at 50*8 (400) or 50*9 (450) would mean if you bought 50 twenty times, you'd spend 8,000-9,000GP! Hopefully they would not do that to anybody. 24.29.92.243 00:07, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
- Users can refer the the Black Friday 2009 page for values on the various items that you can purchase. Usually, we as a whole, like to keep the info pages short and to the point. If we had to plug in math for this particular item, we'd have to apply the same thing to all pages affected. Right now, it is good as is, however, I could be wrong. I'll let the registered editors decide on this. Da Irish Kid 00:13, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
