Mafia Wars currently uses 10 currencies.
Dollars ($), used in New York
Cuban Pesos (C$), used in Cuba
Rubles (R$), used in Moscow
Baht (B$), used in Bangkok- Vegas Chips (V$), used in Las Vegas and Atlantic City
- Lira ($L), used in Italy
- Brazillian Real (BRL$), used in Brazil
- Chicago Clams (CHI$), used in Chicago
- Reward Points (formerly "Godfather Points") used to purchase items from the Marketplace
- Victory Coins (a.k.a. "Victory Tokens") used to purchase items and boosts from the Fight Club
- Loyalty Points used to purchase Loyalty Program items

Location Currencies[]
The seven location currencies are earned from completing jobs, winning fights, winning tournaments, successful robberies, bonus drops, or purchased with Reward Points. They cannot be exchanged between locations except when converted into Vegas Chips inside the Casino Vault. Vegas Chips cannot be converted into other currencies.
Victory Coins[]
Victory Coins are earned from winning fights and tournaments. They can also be obtained from Boss Fight like Beat the Feds Challenge or San Juan. They can only be redeemed in the Marketplace under the tab Fight Club.
Reward Points[]
Reward points are earned from increasing your player level (1 every two levels), Mystery Bags (and Red Mystery Bags, Daily Chance, wins on the Lucky Stash slot machine, Game Cards (and e-cards]], or directly purchased through the game. Reward Points can be used for the following:
- Buy items in the Marketplace
- Buy consumables (jobs) and building parts
- Speed up the time to craft items (or breed animals)
- Buy completion in Missions
- Buy skill points, stamina/energy/health refill
Loyalty Points[]
Loyalty points are earned when Reward Points are purchased through the game. They can also be gained from accepting gifts and wall posts when another mafia member has increased his level in the Loyalty Program. They can only be redeemed in the Marketplace under the Loyalty Program tab.
